Somebody has to say it out loud...
How will you be remembered?
Is your life story something you have the power of narrative over?
Because if your intentions are not clear, and you don't live and breathe what could be, nobody would know what you meant to do unless you actually do it!
Multimillionaire, Wealth Strategist, and Author of Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, T. Harv Eker, spent a 2-decade cycle making money and going broke until he realized that what needed to change, was him... and his way of doing life.
Needless to say, he certainly isn't broke anymore and because he's living his passion and purpose, what he will be remembered for is not his failures, but his successes.
Also, he will not be remembered for the time he spent broke, but for the multitude of lives that changed because he decided to learn the best ways to create and maintain wealth, happiness, success, and fulfillment and share it with the world so that everyone who hears his message, can do the same.
Let’s see what Harv says about your legacy.
Do you ever just stop and think...
"Who Am I? What kind of person do I want to become? How do I want to be remembered? Have the things to be remembered for in life, which originated from my presence, made a meaningful impact?"
Or are you the auto-pilot drifter, simply waiting to see what life throws at you?
Sadly, the majority of people are the latter and wonder why they’re not experiencing fulfillment, or feel their life lacks purpose.
For this reason, we’re sharing a quick 5-minute exercise Harv came up with to help you change course if you so choose.
Your typical goal-setting exercise encourages you to look ahead to what you want to have in life - whether through achievement, purpose, or ownership.
This exercise, however, steps it up to help you define who it is you want to be.
For potentially life-changing insights, grab a pen and paper and follow these steps:
Ready?
Grim as it might seem, just go ahead and envision this funeral.
All your friends and family are there - everyone you’ve ever known.
So you’re looking around and realize that this is your own funeral.
As you observe the ceremony, your loved ones are preparing to begin their eulogies.
By the way, this isn’t to make you feel bad, there’s an important reason this visualization is required, says Harv:
Stop for a moment and think about what your friends, family, loved ones, colleagues, and acquaintances would say about you.
Remember the question... How Will You Be Remembered...?
See yourself standing on the platform and observe each of their responses as you ask them, one by one, what they most admired about you…
…what made you ‘tick’?
…what dreams and hopes you managed to achieve?
…how did you change the world?
What would you like them to say?
And truly, as you are in this moment, how will you be remembered by those you're seeing in this exercise?
Consider what you would want them to say about you for a few moments.
Perhaps even write down what you’d like to hear.
Now come back to the here and now, present day.
And think really hard about how you would want to be remembered by every life you touch.
Ask yourself, “Am I on track right now? Am I doing the things I need to be doing in order to become that person I want to be remembered for?”
If not… why not?
Harv urges you to consider what about yourself and your life must change for you to build your highest version of YOU?
How will you be remembered when the opportunity to improve was there, and you decide THIS TIME, that you'll take it?
Again, consider this for a few moments and then, move forward to step 2…
With no clear direction in your life, it’s difficult to effect the change you wish to see in the world or to embody the person you’ve always aspired to be.
And with no sense of purpose, you will struggle to find the direction you must take.
How will you be remembered if you don't know who you are?
Now, to put pen to paper - taking notes for this next section is really important.
Harv insists that you need to really sit and think about the following questions.
While you’re planning your ideal future, you have a few things to seriously consider.
What dreams and desires did you have when you were younger?
Have these dreams transformed over time, or did you decide they weren’t worth the pursuit?
What are you truly good at - that comes easily or naturally for you?
What creates excitement, satisfaction, and fulfillment for you?
What would you regret not having, being, or fully doing in your life?
These questions aren’t meant to be easy, but it will help you identify what’s most important to you in your life, says Harv.
Because when you do find your passion and purpose in this lifetime, the fog is lifted on the path to becoming the person you want to be, immediately.
The moment you realize what your passion is, is the moment you need to start planning.
How will you be remembered if a sudden and untimely end to your journey brought people together to salute you when all these people were part of your journey and transformation?
To become the person you want others to remember, you need a plan, and you need to take action on that plan, Harv asserts.
Each day this week, do yourself a service and think about the answers you’ve recorded.
Take at least one action daily that will help you on your journey toward becoming the person you want others to remember you as.
Whether you choose to express these actions through practicing a hobby or interest or prefer something more ambitious like drafting your long-overdue business plan to live out your vision of improving the lives of millions.
How will you be remembered when you lived your life with kindness, compassion, and solutions to problems and to the full, other than inspiring?
Here’s the thing, we need more good wealthy people in this world. People who are willing to step up and make a bigger impact. -T. Harv Eker
Life is about choices - whether you choose to stay as you are or choose to become the most dynamic and impactful person you potentially could be - it’s all in your realm of power.
You alone decide how you want to be remembered, if at all.
If you choose to change your world, and you’re not sure how to start by learning from the best.
Learn how to overcome fear and take action.
Learn to believe in possibilities and opportunities, rather than in limitations.
Learn the secrets that meaningfully generate money and fulfillment.
Learn how living a life of purpose and passion fuels your success.
Understand that nobody would be better at doing what you love, and being who you truly admire, than you.
How will you be remembered if you do nothing but complain about problems, people, and small-minded things?
How will you be remembered if there's so much hidden talent within you that you simply choose not to embrace?
How will you be remembered if you choose to improve your attitude toward life and your relationships?
How will you be remembered if you become a true leader who inspires people to become the best versions of themselves?
How will you be remembered when you have triumphed over all the odds and challenges, became the change the world needed to see, and set into motion a ripple effect so massive that, what you're leaving behind can do nothing other than grow into a monument, as a testament to the power of choice?

Has your Mind ever wondered...
We all make an impact and leave some kind of legacy even before we depart from this world.
Look at the current results in your life…
Who are you?
How do people feel after an encounter with you?
What is your attitude towards life and what do you classify as living?
Are your relationships based on trust, integrity, value, and mutual benefit?
Is what you are doing, who you are being, and the impact you have on others in this moment, what you wish to be remembered for when others gather to say goodbye to your flesh?
If not, you know what to do next.
But if you do embody the ultimate version of yourself, living passionately, purposely with freedom and wealth to your satisfaction, then you’re the living proof that a simple shift in mindset means the difference between a life to remember and an existence to be mourned.
If you were able to honestly answer the questions in the exercise, then you know the impact you have on people in the here and now.
Being unrealistic about your contribution to the world will do you no favors.
However, if you don’t like the eulogies you believe you’ll receive at your funeral, it means you’re willing to take a hard look at the fact of who you are and there’s a great chance that you can change the meaning you have to those affected by your presence.
You make it bitter, or you make it better.
Every situation, every conversation, and every interaction.
You choose, and if you’re in the habit of ensuring mutual benefit, that’s how you will be remembered.
However, if you’re in any habit other than joy, feeling good, and affording others the same courtesy, the memory they have of you will be sour and short-lived.
You will be remembered for the impact you have on how others feel…
