The key to your sales success is to develop the habit of bold courage and incorporate it into your effective marketing strategy.
Being bold and courageous allows you to act in spite of fear and this means that fear can no longer hold you back.
Multimillionaire and Author of Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, T. Harv Eker tried many different strategies to achieve sales success, some of which worked better than others.
He learned that marketing is responsible for around 80% of sales success and developed some interesting yet simple tactics of his own over time.
So you can stay where you are and keep getting the same results, or you can learn here how to move beyond fear toward the successful future you deserve as we explore Harv’s perspective.
According to Harv, there simply isn’t a way around it…
Unless you’re an extraordinary entertainer or athlete, if you’d like to get rich, he insists that you must get good at sales.
This rings true for all professions of which artists are no exception.
And while you have to become good at sales, you have to become even better at closing those sales, Harv adds.
For this to happen, you’ll have to develop the characteristics required to give you that added thrust toward sales success.
Once you embrace being bold and courageous, Harv asserts that you’ll be closing sales efficiently.
Remember, marketing is about building and nurturing relationships and to seal the deal, Harv says there are 3 ways you can do it…
This, according to Harv, is the best way to close a sale.
“Do you like this?”
“How does this sound?”
Asking these questions invites feedback, Harv adds.
“If this sounds pretty good, why don’t you give it a try?”
Deduce that when an objection or question has been answered, it equates to your prospect having made the decision to buy.
Harv recommends that you use this way to present options.
“Would you prefer this or that?”
The likelihood of your prospect selecting one or the other increases dramatically when they are given a choice, says Harv.
Obviously, the option they say “Yes” to is the sale you made successfully.
This neat trick Harv learned from Brian Tracy, one of the ‘masters’, applies the power of suggestion by getting your prospect to provide you with a single piece of information to gauge sales success.
“How do you spell your last name exactly?”
If your prospect gives you the spelling of their last name, Harv says your product is as good as sold.
It’s a very powerful tool.
Ultimately, Harv insists that a critical quality for sales success is boldness and all your qualities are habits…
Habits of thought, and habits of action.
During our childhood conditioning, we developed fears of rejection and failure over time, because children don’t have any fears, Harv says.
So we learn to become fearful as we grow up, but Harv insists that this also means that we have the ability to unlearn these habits.
Harv shares that you excavate your fear of rejection and failure by doing the exact opposite of what you’d normally do in a situation where you’re experiencing rejection or failure.
When you back away from fear, you give that fear room to grow, he adds.
In no time it will dominate your entire life and this could have a paralyzing impact.
But when you choose to confront the fear, it becomes smaller and much more manageable.
So Harv suggests that you make it a habit to do what you fear for the rest of your days.
Because in the absence of growth, death is the next evolutionary step.
With time and practice you’ll develop the habit of boldness and courage, to reach the point where you’re no longer afraid of anything, says Harv.
You’ll start moving toward control of your fear when you strike at each situation that makes you feel nervous or scared.
So Harv encourages you to pick up that phone, make that call, knock on that door and ask for that order.
Whenever you’re feeling afraid, Harv insists that you do the thing you fear.
And in a few weeks, or a few months or perhaps even a year from now, Harv believes those fears will be reduced.
As your fears diminish, your self-esteem as well as your self-confidence increase and you start feeling great about yourself.
Because Harv says that you are nurturing the habit of being unstoppable!
